Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree!

You’ll get to choose a Dwarf Jade (Portulacaria Afra) tree and a beautiful glazed ceramic pot when you arrive, and we’ll lend you the tools and materials you need to craft your own tiny tree. These trees are a perfect beginner bonsai species that are so hardy we guarantee you can keep it alive or we’ll replace it. We even offer follow-up video consultations if you have more questions after the class.

🌿Absorb the healing energy of houseplants as Kristy Verdel of Moon Lady Plants guides you through how to build your own succulent terrarium! By sinking your hands a little deeper into organic soil and working with reiki attuned plants, this class will ground you. Top it off with a crystal tumble (or 2, or 3) of your choosing + bring your creation home!

Succulent building takes roughly 45 minutes and additional time will allow for questions + mingling.

Since your candle will take at least an hour to cure before it's ready to take home, you're invited to enjoy all the tasting room has to offers - from beers on draft and snacks to games and merchandise.

Join Nick Blunier from Common Roots Studio for a relaxed night of art making, live music, and local brews! Arrival time is 5:30 and project starts at 6 to give time to get settled and get a drink! We'll be making Maine Bird Paint Samples, see images for examples of final works.

Nick will lead everyone in a quick drawing game exercise to get the creative juices flowing, you may draw anything from a yeti skydiving to a banana singing karaoke! From there, Nick will give a quick explanation of the project, pass out supplies, and let you start creating! No art experience is needed for this easy to follow project!

If you need any additional guidance through the project Nick and his buddy Parris will walk around giving guidance as requested! Co-owner of Common Roots Patrick Sylvia will be looping live instruments and providing tunes to create your art to! All ticket sales go directly into the Community Art Bus project that provides free art activities for children and families!

Come relax, create, sip, and walk away with a fully framed one of a kind piece of art!
